Evolving Covid-19 situation makes us feel anxious and uncertain but what does anxiety mean?

In psychology anxiety is associated with fears, arising external threats and our lack of ability to cope with challenging situations. Over the last year you’ve probably been constantly worried, afraid or panicking about things that are happening or might happen at times for no obvious reason at all.

One of the first steps in developing an ability to cope with unexpected is to create understanding of our environment. This is Situational Awareness.

Resilience can not happen in silos. To be resilient means to remain connected. Connection comes from working together. Collaborative Leadership is vital in creating thriving and psychologically safe environment.

These two main steps help us achieve Adaptive Capacity to deal with constantly changing environment. This ability is dynamic. We can’t predict what is going to happen tomorrow or next week. But we can have our mind tuned in to be able to deal with the constant uncertainty and thrive in VUCA world.
